There can be no The Mandalorian without Moff Gideon. No question about it and people who think so are not true fans. Moff Gideon actor Giancarlo Esposito simply knocked it out of the park with his depiction of the grim, sinister leader of the remnants of the Empire.
In the first two seasons, he wished to use Grogu to make his clones all-powerful. But our hero foiled all his schemes and hacked them down in the middle. Now that is something to root for. And now we hear he is making a magnificent comeback.
Who Ended His Imprisonment?
As of now, it’s a mystery who set Master Gideon free. Teva discovered a report about a missing spaceship in the Outer Rim and realized it was the New Republic prison transport carrying Gideon for trial.
Unfortunately, Gideon did not make it to the court. How do we know this? Because the ship was seemingly attacked during the journey, and he’s gone. But how did this happen?
Teva believes it was a rescue mission, but who would risk their life to save the notorious war criminal? The only clue Teva finds is a piece of beskar alloy, suggesting that Mandalorians might have been involved in Gideon’s escape.
Did Moff Gideon End Up as a Bounty?
In the upcoming episodes, Mando will act like Larissa “Bootz” Hodge from Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School because we suspect someone is plotting against him. We can’t believe he or other Mandalorians rescued Gideon.
But then again, a lot of them despise Gideon because of The Great Purge of Mandalore. Now that is something that needs a bit of delving into lore if you wish to understand the full story. Let us discuss why Gideon is so hated by the Mandalorians.
The Bane of Mandalore
Gideon caused a major explosion that killed many Mandalore people and took most of the beskar, ruining the planet. So, it’s possible some Mandalorians took Gideon to make him pay, even if it means he won’t face a trial.
About the stolen beskar, Gideon might have left a piece on the transport to make it seem like the Mandalorians did it and turned the New Republic against them.
Luckily, many fans support this idea. By now you have probably grasped the kind of cold, bestial cunning the man has in his repertoire. There is not a single low he will not stoop to.
Fan Theories About Death
In episode 8, Djarin, Bo-Katan, and Grogu fought Gideon, who was protected by his sturdy Moff Gideon armour:- the Dark Trooper suit. The battle ended with Gideon caught in a massive explosion and engulfed in flames. Grogu used The Force to save Djarin and Bo-Katan.
Surviving such a fiery end seems unlikely, but there are some important points to consider. Gideon wore his powerful Dark Trooper armour during the explosion, which has proven to be tough. It’s possible he survived because of it. The villain is simply capable of everything and anything.
From The Horse’s Mouth
Speaking about the finale, Esposito told sources reportedly, “It’s going to surprise many fans. Moff Gideon is back, and he’s trying to be a leader, bringing people together.
People are figuring out who the powerful leader will be. Gideon, who had been gone for a while but escaped, is back with plans to divide and conquer.” Now that seems like a very interesting plot point.
Gideon is one of the strongest villains in the entire Star Wars universe. Sure, he is not Darth Vader strong. But he is cut from the same cloth and makes up for lack of Force with sheer brilliance.
As “The Mandalorian” hurtles toward its gripping finale, the galaxy far, far away remains full of uncertainty and intrigue. The unexpected return of Gideon, the mysteries surrounding his escape, and the potential emergence of a powerful leader have fans on the edge of their seats.
With all these questions looming, the final episode promises to deliver surprises and dramatic moments. Let us see what happens at the end of the series. If you have not watched the Moff Gideon Mandalorian season 3 yet, what on Earth are you even waiting for?
