On March 18, Sir Roderick Stewart was scheduled to appear at the A Day on the Green festival at Mt Duneed Estate in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. Cyndi Lauper and Jon Stevens will perform as opening acts. Yet, the three musicians cancelled the event in a statement posted on Saturday afternoon.

Duneed Estate, Geelong performance, which was supposed to take place tonight, Saturday, March 18, 2023, and featured Rod Stewart, Cyndi Lauper, and Jon Stevens, has been cancelled due to illness, according to Live Nation and Roundhouse Entertainment. We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this has caused individuals who purchased tickets.
This meant that the event’s organisers were still working on the details and that further information will be provided early next week. The concert’s organisers did not specify whose performer’s health scare had resulted in the current scenario.
Stewart expressed sorry for disappointing his fans
Stewart released a statement to his fans shortly after the organizer’s publishing, stating that he was sick with a viral infection and throat discomfort. “Good morning, my friends,” the letter begins.
“This morning, I was told that I have a viral infection and that my throat is too sore to sing, and they were correct. I’m just like you in that I get sick from time to time since I’m human. I derive unparalleled satisfaction from performing for you, and I’m trying everything I can to go back on stage. In response, the Young Turks singer stated.
