As we all know, being single feels so lonely. The same was happening with Cari Farver, who was a single parent. She wanted someone in her life who could give her unconditional love, and soon she found a dream guy.
She met Dave Kroupa and they both fell in love with each other in no time. Everything was going perfectly. But, suddenly, on 13 November 2012, Cari disappeared.

Cari and Dave Fell in Love
When Cari Farver dropped off her Ford Explorer in 2012 for maintenance, Dave Kroupa was an employee at an auto repair shop in Omaha, Nebraska. As soon as the duo saw each other, something clicked between the two right away.
At the time, Dave and his ex-girlfriend Amy Flora already got separated. Moreover, Dave and Amy had two kids. Additionally, Dave had a casual relationship with another woman, Liz Golyar.
These two met online and after several random chats, they came into a relationship. Golyar also had two kids, like Dave, and was conscious of his desire to see other women. She was somewhere worried about her future with Dave.
In November 2012, Dave and Cari were staying together. As Cari was deeply engaged in some of her projects and Dave lived near her office, they decided to stay with each other for a couple of days.
Before Farver left for work, Kroupa gave her a warm hug and a goodbye kiss. Who would have known it was the last kiss of the couple! From that time, Dave never saw Cari.
What Happened To Cari Farver?
When Cari left for work after getting goodbye kisses from her beloved Dave, after some time Dave received a text from Cari. In this text message, it was stated that Farver officially wanted to move in with him.
This was a bit shocking for Dave! The texts became furious and kept getting worse when he gently declined Cari for moving in together at that point of time.
Farver would send odd texts to her mother Nancy Raney, and her 15 years old son Max. She stated in the messages that she would make arrangements to pick up Max and that she got a good job in Kansas.
But, after this text, no news from Cari’s side arrived. When Cari couldn’t make it to her son’s birthday and her father’s funeral, Cari’s mother realized something was wrong with her daughter.
Meanwhile, Dave again started seeing Golyar, her ex-girlfriend. Plus, he was receiving numerous random texts. Two detectives, Ryan Avis and Jim Doty, investigated this case. They found that Cari was not behind the texts that Dave was receiving.
Who killed Cari Farver?
Later, Golyar soon gained popularity and became the only suspect in Farver’s life after she disappeared. However, after detectives investigated the case, they learned Nancy Raney’s claim that her daughter had bipolar disorder in her 20s. But, this had no connection to her disappearance.
The case was becoming more and more mysterious day by day. So, the digital forensics administrator at the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office was hired to solve this case.
The investigators then came up with a tale they told Golyar, who was contending that Amy Flora, Kroupa’s ex-wife and the mother of his children, was behind the Farver’s abduction. Golyar would appear at the police station fooling to provide information that would help the investigation focus on Flora.
Following this, Golyar came to the police station and showed the cops some emails she got from “Flora”. Those emails include details about Cari’s murder.
Later, when the cops did the investigation, they found out that it was Golyar only who was behind those emails. They soon arrested her, and on 22 December 2016, she was charged with Cari’s murder.

EP Linda Berman outlined the film’s motive, which was to shed additional light on what might have occurred to make Cari vanish suddenly. This movie again spotlighted Cari’s story, and curiosity arose among the people.
Know Where is Cari Farver’s Son Now?
Cari’s son, Max, is a software engineer at Fetch Rewards, a well-known company. He completed his graduation from Iowa State University in the field of software engineering/data science. Her mother Cari was also a computer programmer, so we might assume it was in her genetics.
Max is also a married man now. He and his wife Sara are happily married, enjoying their life the most! We can’t say if he misses her mother, Cari. But, obviously, the sudden disappearance of Cari had affected this boy!
