Ian O. Cameron, a Canadian businessman, and Susan tied the knot in 1990. They became friends while attending Stanford University. They have two kids together. John David-Rice Cameron, their son, is the president of the Stanford College Republicans and a fervent admirer of Donald Trump.

Ian O. Cameron is descended from a highly prosperous family. The Victoria Plywood Company’s founder, Newton, amassed a fortune. After serving in World War 2, Newton established the business in 1950.
