Netflix has made everyone’s holiday season with the release of the big trailer for the forthcoming mystery thriller starring the ever-charming Christian Bale in an interesting role.
In the film, Retired Detective Landor is called back into service to help solve the brutal murder of a West Point military student. On the other hand, while engaging in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the killer.

Storyline
The film is set in 1830 and follows a young Edgar Allan Poe (Harry Melling) at the prestigious American military academy West Point. When a fellow cadet, Leroy Fry, is killed and his heart is extracted from his chest, the bright but melancholy Poe becomes a detective. Poe was not yet the gothic literary giant that he is today. The killings continue.
Despite the military academy’s oath of silence, Poe seeks the help of ex-New York investigator Gus Landor (Christian Bale) in deciphering clues and locating the perpetrator. Senior West Point officers have hired Landor to track down the perpetrator and protect the academy’s reputation.
