What’s The Issue With Thothub?
Well, you must know here that things started with an OnlyFans model named Deniece “Niece” Waidhofer. Things have escalated to such an extent that she has taken legal action against Thothub. She has accused the site of unauthorized distribution of her previously exclusive content, which was originally restricted behind a paywall on OnlyFans.
As reported by VICE, Niece is a model whose primary source of income is her OnlyFans page. With over 1.9 million followers on Instagram, she offers her semi-nude content to subscribers on OnlyFans at a monthly subscription fee of $14.99. However, she has recently discovered that her semi-nude photos and lingerie shots have been widely disseminated on the site over the past few months.
Niece’s legal action stems from the allegation that Thothub has failed to comply with her copyright-related takedown requests. In a complaint drafted by attorney Brett S. Rosenthal of the law firm Reese Marketos, Niece contends that her published and unpublished works have been downloaded by numerous members of Thothub, which boasts a membership of over one million individuals.
Consequently, her content has proliferated across the internet and been viewed by millions of individuals. This widespread dissemination has resulted in personal, reputational, and financial damages to Niece, according to the complaint. In fact, Amouranth thothub searches have also increased, as the leaked images and content from the OnlyFans account of Amouranth have also leaked on the site.
The Aftermath
You might be stunned to learn that on August 5, Thothub suddenly ceased its operations. Moreover, its website was substituted with an image of the solar system and an email address. Niece’s legal representative emphasized that despite Thothub’s temporary shutdown, their efforts to hold responsible companies are far from over.
Despite Thothub’s closure, Niece and her attorney are pursuing legal action against not only Thothub but also Chaturbate, BangBros, and Cloudflare. Their objective is to ensure that platforms hosting content behind paywalls are held responsible for instances where such content is leaked without authorization.
