Mobile UI/UX Design Trends

UX services are becoming more and more popular as businesses strive to create better digital products. UX designers help to create products that are not only visually appealing but also easy to use and navigate. In the past, UX design was often an afterthought in the software development process. UX and UI design trends are constantly changing and evolving. What was popular last year may be considered outdated or even unusable today.

As technology advances, so too must the designs of the applications and software that we use every day. This is especially true for businesses that are looking to implement digital transformation within their organization. To stay ahead of the curve, it’s essential to be aware of the latest UX and UI trends.

Top UX/UI trends for 2023

Listed below are the most important UI/UX trends for 2023 that all companies that want to keep or take the lead in their industries should follow.

1. Multiplatform

As businesses and consumers alike become increasingly reliant on digital devices, the need for UX services, like Eleken, that can provide a seamless experience across all platforms will only continue to grow. In an age where people are constantly switching between their phones, laptops, tablets, and more, the ability to easily access and customize content is essential.

UX designers will need to focus on creating products that are not only user-friendly but also accessible from any device. In the coming years, those who can provide this type of convenient and efficient experience will be in high demand.

2. Dark theme

One of the latest design trends is dark UX/UI, which involves creating a darker, more minimalist user interface that is less overwhelming for users. Darker interfaces are less saturated and provide a more soothing experience. The benefits of a darker user interface are that it can improve focus, increase engagement, and decrease the amount of time it takes to complete tasks.

However, businesses need to keep in mind that a dark UI needs to be functional and usable. There needs to be enough contrast in the design to make all buttons and functionalities easily accessible and visible. What’s more, designers need to ensure that the content is easy to read, especially on screen-based media such as websites and apps.

3. Large font size and immersive experience

Apple, Microsoft, Toyota, Tesla, McDonald’s, and Louis Vuitton are some of the world’s most valuable brands this year. Looking at their websites, you can observe a general trend of a homepage that offers an immersive experience. The websites are clean and display only the most important information and categories. These are the largest companies in the world with multiple product segments, categories, and geographical locations, some of their websites used to be loaded with information just a year ago.

Large font sizes are used. Not just large H1, but also large H2, H3, and text! If your website is still overloaded with information and irrelevant images, it is never too late to redesign it according to the latest trends. Flat illustrations or photo graphics that break the text into smaller chunks while remaining creative are another popular design element you see on many of these websites.

4. Cross-application design

In recent years, there has been a trend toward partnership and collaboration among businesses in a variety of industries. This trend is especially visible in the FinTech sector, where many companies reach out to partners to strengthen and extend their market offer. A company that cooperates with another application should have a dedicated subpage for it on its website, and the options for interacting with the partner should be easily maneuverable on mobile devices.

If a customer wants to pay their electric bill through an app and is considering taking a mortgage through a third-party partner, the payment application should display a clear set of rules and options for doing so. There should be no need for external software or complicated messaging; the process should be easy to understand. And if the comparison is possible, the offers should be easy to compare; users love to compare offers.

5. Quick authorization

In today’s fast-paced world, users don’t have the time or patience to wait around for an app to load. The quick authorization will become increasingly important as a result. App designers will need to find ways to reduce the time it takes for users to log in or sign up for an account.

6. Micro animations

Micro animations are small animations that exist in almost every application and on nearly every website. For example, Facebook has many different micro animations, including the “Like” feature. Sometimes we’re not even aware of micro animations because they’re so obvious, natural, and blended with the user interface. But if you remove micro animations from your product, it will quickly be noticeable that something really important is missing.

Small animations, such as changing the color of a button after the user hovers over it or changing blog titles while scrolling, can help grab the user’s attention and improve the digital experience.

7. Simplified navigation

Navigation is another key element of UX design. In 2023, we can expect to see a trend toward simplifying navigation menus and icons. This will help to reduce user frustration and make it easier for users to find what they’re looking for.

8. 3D

One way to выделиться среди конкурентов is by using 3D graphics in their interfaces. Creating and integrating 3D graphics requires certain skills and a lot of work, but the results can be extraordinary. 3D rendering allows a product or service to be presented in a much more interactive and engaging way.

For example, a product can be viewed in a 360-degree presentation, which improves the overall user experience. In 2023, even more, brands will use 3D models to present products and services, simulating the shopping experience in a store.

9. Personalized content

As user data becomes more available, app designers will be able to create more personalized content. This could include customized recommendations or tailored news feeds. By providing users with content that is relevant to them, app designers can improve the overall UX.

10. Gradients

Where once designers strived to reduce all visual properties and create products that were dominated by white space, now there is a trend towards designs that are more visually interesting. One way to achieve this is by using gradients. Gradients add some depth to flat layouts and can be created using brand colors, making them popular with both development teams and stakeholders. While ultra-minimalism may have once been the standard, it seems that its days may well be numbered.

11. Voice interfaces

Voice interfaces are one of the fastest-growing trends and will continue to dominate in the future. A research study recently showed that 41% of adults in the United States already use voice commands for daily searches. This number will likely only grow in the coming years as people become more comfortable with using voice assistants, such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Siri, and others.

Not only have these assistants become more accurate over time in understanding what users are saying, but they have also become more efficient in carrying out commands. In addition, many applications and plugins have been developed that can read written texts aloud, which has contributed to the popularity of this trend. As we move into a more hands-free society, it is evident that voice interfaces will play a major role in our lives.

Conclusion

It is important to understand that these trends don’t come and go overnight; they take months or even years to evolve. However, if you want to stay ahead of the curve, it is important to keep up with the latest trends in web design.
