Canadian rapper Tory Lanez has expressed his appreciation for popular streamer Adin Ross in a voice message sent from prison. Shared during one of Ross’s recent streams, the message showcased Lanez referring to Ross as his “favorite white boy” and thanking him for the support during a challenging time. Lanez acknowledged Ross’s advocacy for his freedom during the trial for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, stating, “I appreciate everything you been doing, my n-gga, showing me love.”
In the voice message, Lanez also expressed optimism about their future collaborations, stating, “Make sure I get a couple million — as soon as I walk out of jail, we on top of the world.” Ross, a steadfast supporter of Lanez, had previously called for the rapper’s freedom and promised a gift upon his release.

Despite Lanez’s legal challenges, he released new music with the Alone At Prom deluxe edition on November 17 from behind bars. Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence after being convicted of shooting Megan Thee Stallion during an argument in July 2020. Lanez has consistently denied his involvement and accused the media of orchestrating a smear campaign against him.
Lanez’s recent appeal to overturn the sentence was rejected, with the California Court of Appeal stating that he failed to demonstrate any unjust treatment by the court system. The court order emphasized, “appellant has not shown that the superior court unjustifiably denied relief.” Lanez, who remains in a state prison in California, continues to maintain his innocence amid ongoing legal proceedings.
