Minor updates For Warzone 2 and DMZ by Infinity Ward included reworks to the AI, bug fixes, and other improvements. As part of the Season 2 update, Warzone 2 released Ashika Island, the first Resurgence map for the battle royale category. The new environment was developed alongside the addition of two new contracts, Data Heist and Search and Seizure.
For including AI foes on Ashika Island, community members criticized Data Heist. To finish a Data Heist contract, players must gather information from one of the three uplink stations on the map and eliminate the AI Shadow Company foes. Some Warzone 2 players claimed AI adversaries affected the pacing of games because Ashika Island is already quite small.
Fortunately for those who objected, Infinity Ward made some important modifications and decreased the number of AI opponents that may be encountered during Data Heist contracts.
Bug patches and AI nerfs were announced by Infinity Ward:
Infinity Ward did not provide any details when it made its March announcement regarding changes to the AI opponents in DMZ. With the most recent patch notes, the programmers provided more clarification on the matter. In Al Mazrah and Ashika Island in the DMZ, AI adversaries now deliver “moderately” less damage.
Several Interface adjustments have already been made to new updates for Warzone 2, and the March update simplifies using the Battle Pass. The update also resolved a problem where the gas wouldn’t harm AI opponents. An annoying fault that made the Recent Players list unresponsive has also been addressed.
Finally, Infinity Ward solved a few unusual physics errors on the new map while enhancing performance on Ashika Island.
