About Vecna
We already know that the deadly villain of the Stranger Things season four derives its name form the Dungeons & Dragons character. In addition to the name, some of its features are also similar to the D & D character. The skull face, tentacles and a humanoid shape are the features where the two characters converge.
A search for the origin of the villain takes us to an apparently normal boy named Henry Creel. However, deep beneath his apparent normal appearance, the boy unleashed his own psychic powers and murdered his mother and sister, while tormenting his father. Later Dr. Brenner takes him and gives him the name One. His job at the Hawkins lab was to look after the other children, as the lab tried to release their psychic abilities. One of these children were Eleven. He manipulates her in taking out the chip which was installed in his head to keep him from using his powers. After the chip is removed, he wreaks havoc on the lab. It is ultimately Eleven, who in a way created Vecna.
Vecna And The Mind Flyer
In season two and three the Mind Flyer was the main villain and we witnessed him tormenting Will after he got rescued from the Upside Down. In a flashback the show narrates that while exploring the Upside Down, Vecna discovered an early version of the Mind Flyer. He then transformed it using his pwn abilities and made it to serve his own purpose. In fact, Will also though the Mind Flyer to be Vecna. Vecna also tells Eleven that he wanted to expand his powers, using the Mind Flyer. He wanted to open the door between the Lab and the Upside Down.
What Happened To Vecna?
This question is tough to answer. The team made every possible attempt at killing the dreaded villain. They set him on fire and Eleven also attacked his mind. They fired shots at him and threw him out of the window. However, his body was never found. At the end Will stated that he can still feel him.
