Vick Hope finally spoke out about being engaged to Calvin Harris and his “perfect” proposal. The chart-topping DJ got down on one knee on his farm in Ibiza last summer. Also, he presented the 33-year-old with a diamond ring worth £1 million.
Addressing the rumours, Hope told You magazine: “[A] very precious thing has happened,” before revealing: “It was… perfect.”
The former Strictly contestant added that her Radio 1 co-host, Jordan North, hasn’t stopped teasing her about the engagement. Apart from that She and Harris spent Christmas whizzing around the Caribbean on his private jet. Also, She revealed why she doesn’t share details of her romance publicly.
“We don’t put anything on social media because the time we have together is ‘real life’ and it’s our own,” she explained.
It Was Over Ten Years Ago When Harris Asked Hope Out For The First Time
The fact that Harris did ask Hope out over ten years ago was indeed hilarious because, at the time, she was a young presenter, and he was celebrating his first taste of success. “It’s something that we laughed about on our first proper date. We still laugh about it now,” says the actress.

Last summer, reports broke that Calvin had got down on one knee on his farm in Ibiza, proposing to Vick with a massive 1 million ring. While the pair kept relatively quiet at the time about rumours, Vick has finally given fans an insight into what happened.
“There’s a difference between secrecy and privacy,” she told You magazine before adding the proposal that a “very precious thing has happened. It was… perfect.”
She then went on to share a funny story about how she had rejected Calvin years earlier, when he made a move during his ‘Acceptable in the ’80s’ era, back in 2007. “It’s something that we laughed about on our first proper date,” she revealed. “We still laugh about it now.”
