On HYPERLITE we have two different types of high bay lights, we have our UFO High Bay Lights and our LED Linear High Bay lights, each one having its own different light series.
Both of our lights have differences from each other, we will start with our UFO Led High Bay Lights:
UFO LED HIGH BAY LIGHTS
- HERO SERIES (BLACK AND WHITE). – Has two versions, white and black, both of them have the option to use a dimmer, come with 4000k and 5000k light color temperatures and you can use a reflector with them.
- SATURN SERIES It only comes with a 150w, it comes with 5000k color temperature only, you cannot install a dimmer on it and you can add a reflector to have better distribution of the light.
- RADAR SERIES They come in different wattages, they only have a 5000k light version, they can use a motion sensor and you can control them using a remote control as well.
Hero Series and Radar Series have 5 years warranty and Saturn Series has 3 years warranty.
LED LINEAR HIGH BAY
- WILL SERIES; they come with a 5000k light color temperature option, a beam angle of 120º and you can use a dimmer with the Will Series.
- 5 years warranty
- RAY SERIES They come with a 5000k light option, a beam angle of 95º, they can use a dimmer and they come with their own hooks and chains.
Both of them have 5 year warranty making them a great option.
What is UFO High Bay Light?
LED UFO high bay light is another common shop lighting fixture. People sometimes call it a “UFO” for the circular design. Their design makes them “bright”; they can use reflectors but they work great without them as well! Since having a circular design helps them to give more light to any space.
What are the characteristics of UFO high bay LED lights?
Cooling: The led high bay UFO light has a large heat sink. The aluminum heat sink can improve durability, improve operating performance, and keep the light cool. The housing of the luminaire is made of aluminum, which can dissipate heat well.
UFO Lights have a small size are easy to install, and can illuminate larger areas than linear lights. In addition, UFO High Bay Lights are also high protection level, making them resistant to dust.
What is LED Linear High Bay?
Being the best for high bay led shop lights, pretty common to see these lights in supermarkets, and corridors, it will illuminate an area that requires the maximum light output.
These types of lights are great for different scenarios, such as warehouses, retail stores, and indoor sports field lighting. Linear lights are made to be more efficient with light distribution and approach the design of certain buildings.
What are the characteristics of Linear High Bay LED lights?
They have a rectangle light distribution, designed to be longer and a wider beam angle, which is very suitable for narrow and long areas such as aisles. Compared with fluorescent light and incandescent lamps, linear high bay light has a longer lifespan, has the same brightness, and lower electricity cost.
Different beam angles
UFO High Bay Lights and Linear LED Lights have different beam angle options. There are 60,90 or 120 beam angles for UFO High Bay that are suitable for different ceiling heights. They can focus light on the center area, which means that if they are too far, the place where the light cannot be reached will appear darker, while the central area will be brighter, resulting in a great contrast. The beam angle of Linear High Bay light is generally 120, which can provide more evenly light distribution. Within a reasonable distance, it will enjoy the same brightness.
Comparison between UFO and LINEAR lights
For linear high ceilings, the light distribution is rectangular. As we can see the lights are different, Linear lights have a rectangular distribution and for UFO lights the distribution is circular. Linear High Bay Lights can be used for warehouse shelves, corridors, etc. Using UFO lights in these types of scenarios will not approach all the space, it can cause a waste of light due to the design of the light.
UFO lights can be more useful in open spaces, garages, and workshops. Both of the high bay LED lights are good but they have different purposes, so before we buy one of them, we need to have in mind, what we need for the lights, and which use are we going to give them.
