Grace Harry who previously was Grace Miguel is much more than a woman who is affiliated with the famous R&B artist Usher. Grace has successfully positioned herself as a social activist, an executive chef, a music executive, an accomplished entrepreneur and a “joy” strategist, with passion of assisting people to maximize their joy in life, Grace’s story is a success story of resilience, creativity and reinvention.
Early Life and Background
The first child of Gladys and Lorenzo Weldon, Grace Rutigliano was born in Brooklyn New York on April 2, 1969 However, her childhood was not so smooth as she faced many problems. The young girl Grace struggled all her childhood growing up in foster care having a father with an addiction problem and being incarcerated. Nevertheless, these experiences made her build strong-willed and ready to face all challenges as she carved a unique professional career to go along with philanthropic work.

It is about the journey of a person who started as a Culinary Arts major in college, then pursue a degree in music and be an executive for a big music firm.
Grace found her entry into the entertainment industry beginning with working as an executive chef in the Cosby’s show. Although, she became famous from cooking, her foray into the music industry was the best thing that ever happened to her. She was employed by some of the leading record production companies such as MCA, Geffen and Jive Records and was appointed as the Executive Vice President of Marketing and Creative Services at Island Def Jam until she contributed towards the formation of many artists.
Grace’s Focus on Wellness: Reasons to Become a Joy Strategist
Later in her life Grace moved from the music industry into the area of health and happiness. She is now a “joy strategist” as she coordinates her venture Rapture & Grace to assist people to discover their reasons to live. Her work is greatly focused on the principles like work-life balance, body-mind balance and overall well-being advocating for the same through her own experiences of fighting personal and professional adversities.

Until their divorce in 2018 Grace and Usher were husband and wife after getting together in 2015, but they could not hold on because of the differences and the public fights. Since the breakup both have been polite to each other but they do not show affection towards each other. After that drama, Grace moved on to have love in her with Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, the leader of The Roots. They are said to have got even closer during the Coronavirus outbreak and still live together in New York.
Looking at the life path of Grace, one can state that she grows, changes, and remains happy all her life. It is not just her past marriage to him that has made her famous but she has put her efforts in different sectors such as music, food and now wellness.
