In reflection, the actor said he got in the car and drove up the street. He mentioned having a knot in his stomach and starting to flip through the Enquirer. Connolly explained that there was a picture of Bobcat and Nikki dating. He further mentioned that the next day, or around two days later, he had to go into that table reading, and they had to endure 24 weeks of misery.

Continuing, Connolly expressed the profound impact the affair had on him, describing how he felt “heartbroken” by Cox in the concluding years of the series, which aired from 1995 to 1999. He reflected that the breakup marked the “first time” he believed he was “going to die.” Connolly remarked that it was quite terrible, stating that he was gutted and was unable to sleep.

Nevertheless, Connolly affirmed that the ex-couple has “stayed in touch over the years” and still “catch up once in a while.” The actor also playfully remarked that long-time friend Taylor had a “front-row seat” to the “Bobcat incident.”

After Connolly and Cox’s breakup, the actress became engaged to Goldthwait in the late ’90s, and the two remained a couple until 2005. Rumours are circulating that Kevin Connolly is in a relationship with actress Francesca Dutton. However, neither Kevin nor Francesca has officially confirmed this relationship.
