Also, she posted about her positive Covid test with a picture of herself in a mask. She captioned – “so this happened again”. She was already affected by Covid last year so this is her second time. But she says that she feels fine and has a bit of a cold. She said that she is thankful to be vaccinated.
Because of this, she did not appear in the two episodes of Today’s show on May 9 or May 10. But she phone called on the show on May 10th o share updates with her co-host Hoda Kotb. When discussing her Covid recovery she said that she had all the five days to herself which is a great thing for her as she is always busy. Yet she has come back to host the show after a much-needed break.

The full name of Guthrie is Savannah Clark Guthrie and she is born in Melbourne, Australia. But her family returned to the United States and settled in Tucson, Arizona. The first time she visited Australia was for her Today show and it was a lifetime dream of hers to visit her birthplace. Along with her mother Nancy, she was able to visit the hospital where she was born. They also visited the family’s former residence located in Beaumaris. Guthrie spent some time in Sydney before coming back to the United States.
In 2005 she was married to English-born BBC News presenter Mark Orchard. But the couple divorced in 2009. Then in 2009, she started a relationship with democratic political and communications consultant Michael Feldman. In 2013 she got engaged to him. She has two kids with him.

Guthrie joined NBC News in September 2007. She worked on Sarah Palin’s 2008 vice-presidential race. In 2011 she became the co-host of the 9. am hour along with Natalie Morales and Al Roke. Also, she was appointed as the NBC News chief legal analyst and gradually became the host of Today, replacing Ann Curry.
In 2011 she interviewed Donald Trump and interviewed him about the Barack Obama “birther” controversy. In the same year, she also interviewed Conrad Murray.
