Most of you might have visited both of these cities or must be doing your job here. In this article, we will talk about some of the major difference between both the cities.
Scroll down to know more and know better how Mumbai and Delhi are different from each other.
1. Food
Delhi is quite famous for its mouth-watering and delicious street food. You must be knowing if you have ever tried those paranthas from famous ‘Paranthe Wali Gali’? Not only it’s famous for paranthas but is also famous for eye-watering chaat and golgappas.
On the other hand, Mumbai has its own charm when it comes to food. How can we forget to mention those tasty vada pav, keema pav and sev puri on Marine Drive?
2. The Sea and the Rain
If we talk about Delhi, we are so sorry that Delhiites didn’t get to see anything like this on a frequent basis. This is because Delhi doesn’t have Marine Drive like Mumbai has which keeps the city very breezy.
3. Culture
Mumbaikars celebrates each and every festival with full enthusiasm and joy. Some of the famous festivals celebrated in Mumbai is Ganesh Chaturthi. Apart from this they also love to celebrate Indian festivals like Holi, Diwali, Eid, Christmas and Durga Puja.
Even Delhiites also love to celebrate these festivals with full joy. And yes! They know well how to party especially on weekends.
4. Nightlife & Security
If we compare both the metro cities, then Delhi is not that safe as Mumbai is. In Mumbai, the night is supposed to begin after late hours only because there is no rural influence. But a city like Delhi has a bit of rural influence also so it is not as fast forward as Mumbai is in terms of Nightlife and security.
5. Roads/ Public transport
In Delhi, roads are better but transport is not up to the mark. But Delhi metro is good and most of the people use it very frequently to travel for a long distance. While Mumbai has local trains, meter run autos and buses which takes much time to cover long distances.
6. History & Culture
Delhi has most of the historical monuments and age-old buildings like Qutub Minar, India Gate, Purana Quila etc. You will not get to see such beautiful places in Mumbai but you will find a few art galleries and museums there.
