Three hundred passengers stranded because of new travel guidelines
The updates in new travel guidelines have affected many passengers. The people travelling from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Afghanistan made to stand at the airport for many hours because of the new guidelines during Wednesday and Thursday. This is because they did not see the updates before planning the travel. Now the updated circular states that the airport has the responsibility to arrange a ticket for the passengers if they did not meet the expectations of the guidelines. They have to help the passengers to return to their home country and help them to cover the costs.
The arrangement of PCR tests
The revised protocols say that the Emiratis who return to Dubai from the Overseas need not take a PCR test before their departure and the time or country they spend are not taken into account. They can take the PCR tests when they arrive in Dubai. This only applies to the citizens. But the residents and the visitors have to take the tests before flying to Dubai from approved laboratories. Moreover, transit passengers also need to show the PCR test results if their final destination requires it.
If the people are departing from Dubai they have to get negative PCR test results if their country of destination needs it. Therefore all the visitors, residents and citizens have to take the PCR tests if the country they are visiting requires it.
The GDRFA for residents
The residents returning to Dubai have to get approval from the GDRFA that is General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs to get an entry in Dubai. This permit is only valid for thirty days. The permit has to get applied before the departure by the residents. They have to think of it before going on business trips or vacation. If the residents got rejected they can re-apply after five days. Moreover, the permit is for single-use only and is not available for multiple-trips inside the country.
The tourist and tourist visas
Dubai has opened its visa applications for all countries a few months ago. But the passengers have to check current flight operations before applying for it. GDRFA issues the visas and it needs no additional permit for application. The passengers need to always check for any new updates regarding it.
