This is one of the 250 features Google has added to the maps during the pandemic. The transit predictions of Google utilize aggregated and anonymized history of the locations travelled by a user. The users have to sign up for this location history feature. This is available from last year. But first, the maps revealed the details of the traffic and how busy the train or bus is. Now it will also state how many people are on the train or bus.
The data will be close to accurate because it will take information from the user travelling on the train. This feature will help many people who want to travel peacefully to work or other places.
The map is also going to add another feature. When ordering food through it you can know the status of the delivery in real time. It will show you the expected time of delivery and also fees. In the future, the map will also show the restaurant reservation status for you to know if it is safe to go there.
