The solution to the Wordle puzzle for today is another simple one that shouldn’t cause too many problems for the participants. Given the letters involved and the actual solution, I would think that this is solidly in the 3–4 turn average even if the WordleBot tool from the New York Times isn’t showing averages at the time of writing.

Today’s Wordle Answer
What is the Wordle answer for today’s game, # 677?
It’s: logic!
The global average number of movements players make isn’t displayed by WordleBot at the time of writing, which is unfortunate. Back-to-back simple Wordles are a joy for those attempting to lower our averages. But it would be extremely shocking if today’s puzzle wasn’t solidly in the 3–4 turn range.
RATIO was my choice for the first word in Wordle, as is customary. Today it worked quite well, turning the ‘I’ green and giving me a yellow ‘O’ right away.
This lowered the number of potential responses to 18, according to WordleBot. A strong start in anyone’s book, albeit not as terrific as yesterday.
Today, just a few of the bot’s recommendations could come close to beating it, but there were a few. Eight answers would still be available if you played SLICE, seven if you played CLONE, and only five if you played LANCE.
