Information about the types of prestigious military services
1. Full-Time Active Duty
When a person signs up for military service then they get the chance to commit to military branches like Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy, or Coast Guard. These full-time duties involve being ready for such services 24*7. Some may even get deployed to the overseas location. Therefore active duty means a person is ready to serve in regular military services and not the National Guard or the Reserve which are other types of military services. The active-duty members live in a military base and perform all the duties expected in the bases.
2. National Guard
This type of military service comes under part-time but sometimes if there is a requirement they have to join active duty service. The National Guard works under the jurisdiction of a particular state. Therefore a National Guard report to the Governor. They have the requirement to train one weekend in a month. Some of their units are available in the US and its territories.
The Reserve members perform part-time duties but in case of emergencies, they work with active-duty members. Usually, they have a full-time civilian job and come to training one weekend a month. They receive all the benefits given to active duty members.

2. Marine Corps

The Navy defends their country against illegal trade and travel in the ocean. They also protect national interest overseas. They spend most of their time on ships that travel around the ocean. 4. Air Force
The Air Force protects their country interests at home but more focus is given to airpower. The Airmen get aviation training. Moreover, they also get to learn about legal services and financial management. Like the other branches of service, the Air Force also needs to learn about the latest technologies and how to use it.
5. Coast Guard
The coast guard safeguards the public, economic and security interests of the maritime regions. They get posted in the international waters and the coasts. Furthermore, they also get positioned in ports and waterways. Some of the training they go through are engineering and hull, aviation, port security, investigation and more. They work closely with the personnel in marine ecology and environmental studies. Their jobs are also transferrable.
