Riot is all set to remove the ARAM tower rubble in League of Legends. A Rioter, Maxw3ll, has revealed this to be true in a recent post. The change will take effect from the next patch, that is Patch 13.5/6. Furthermore, the user also said that the rubble was an experiment. It went on for the entirety of the ARAM preseason, and then they found a lot of players complaining about it. So yes, the rubble is now out of the picture. We take a look at what precisely is the matter.
An Experiment Gone Wrong
Riot themselves admitted the mechanic is doing more harm than good. As such, they are going to kick it out. Riot introduced tower rubble in early 2023 to create more interesting situations on the map. It was intended to break away from the traditional line of gaming. Whenever players destroyed a tower, it would crumble to pieces and fall on either the left or the right side of the map. The debris would then completely block off the area and result in a fog of war on either side. It is quite easy to see why this might have irritated a lot of players.
League of Legends regulars were not too fond of this new feature. It created too heavy a chokepoint on the map. This in turn led to the creation of a right bottleneck which hampered the ability of teams to engage in a firefight. This is a core feature of the ARAM mode. A chunk of players advised Riot to reduce the amount of space that the tower rubble took up. However, Riot seems to have taken the advice of the players to heart. They have decided to remove the feature of tower rubble altogether.
The New Patch is Rad
Moreover, we have also received news that the tower rubble will be removed entirely in Patch 13.5 or 13.6 which is coming on March 8 or probably March 22. ARAM players will no longer have to deal with the tower rubble and the irritating chokepoints it generated. Many League of Legends players are rather pleased with this fact and have expressed their satisfaction. A large proportion of the gratitude goes towards one fact. The minion pathing on the map became buggy when the rubble fell. The problematic gameplay has since been redressed and Riot is taking full measures to ensure gamers have a seamless experience now.
League of Legends recently introduced several new upgrades and characters in Season 13. A new Enchanter support named Milo is on the table and the fiery Ixtal champion is about to make his debut in the coming few months. Milo has mastered the axiom of fire and is on an adventure to restore his family’s honor. One of the most interesting things about this character is that instead of using fire to destroy or raze cities, he uses it to heal.
