After our parents, teachers are the one who holds a very important place in our life. Not only for me but for everyone. I know each one of you who are reading this may have one or other best memories related to their teachers and of course the valuable lessons given by them to you which you still remember by heart. Seriously, no other than teachers could do anything for us to make our life and our career.
To see us reap those heights, they took so much of pain and manual labour that we can’t even imagine. On this Teacher’s day, let’s pay our whole-hearted tribute to them who made us what we are today and we can’t forget that ever.
Take a look at some of the great examples who gave up everything to make the career of students.
1. Shopkeeper, Rajesh Kumar Sharma
Rajesh is a popular teacher among hundreds of slum children who are taught by him under the metro bridge near the Yamuna Bank metro depot in Delhi. He is a shopkeeper by profession and is known as ‘Masterji’ among his students. It was him only who started the novel initiative, “Free School: Under the Bridge”.
2. A resident from Pune, Rajnikant Mendhe
A resident from Pune, Rajnikant Mendhe was really passionate about teaching children. To teach only 12 children, he travelled 12 km to a remote village in Chander district. As there was an extreme shortage of teachers at the school, kids started to leave the school but it was Mendhe who never gave up and he still continued his journey of teaching to only one student who didn’t leave the school.

3. Physical education teacher, Rajaram
Rajaram who is a physical education teacher took that extra mile and decided to drive the school bus so that the students do not take admission anywhere else. To keep the school’s strength at par, he with the help of old student’s association bought a mini-bus so that the parents are comfortable in sending their children to school in the bus only.
4. Physically challenged, Sanjay Sen
What a wonderful and kind-hearted man he is which is very hard to find nowadays. Despite being a physically challenged man, he never gave up and challenged himself to make the life of thousand’s of children by giving them the ocean of the knowledge he has. His motivation and kind dedication made everything possible for him even if he can’t. Since 2009, he is into the teaching profession and is employed in one of the government school located in Rajasthan.

5. A teacher from Kenya’s remote village, Peter Tabichi
Peter Tabichi is a math and physics teacher from a school located in Kenya’s remote village. He has also received the Global Teacher Prize for his hard work and dedication towards teaching. And do you know he is the man who gives away his 80 percent of the monthly income to the needy and helpless people just to make them happy?
6. Zindagi Founder, Ajay Bahadur Singh
Ajaya Bahadur is the one who established the Zindagi Foundation in the year 2017, where he used to give free coaching classes to the medical students who couldn’t afford expenses for that. And do you know it was due to his ultimate guidance 12 out of his 18 students cracked medical exam and got admission in medical colleges in Odisha? Though he aspires to become a doctor himself, he gave up his dreams and continued to teach underprivileged students to make their career.
