Although cheating in Warzone is a well-known problem, Activision has recently been on the offense. A Warzone 2 livestream accused a Warzone 2 streamer of cheating, but little did they know that the gamer had already been eliminated via the live ping feature.
Following the use of Warzone cheats by “high profile” broadcasters, the notorious Call of Duty cheat supplier EngineOwning was forced to pay Activision $3 million in damages.
Also, the designers improved Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 by adding new Ricochet anti-cheat features. Activision is committed to providing gamers with stronger protection and improved detection tools to reduce the game’s hacking issues.
For Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, Activision put strong anti-cheat technologies in place to address the unfair use of third-party programs. The use of harmful software that interferes with the game is not permitted and is a crime. The anti-cheat typically finds such applications and the user employing them is permanently banned.
To give gamers more control over situations involving hackers and toxic users, MW2 added a new notification system. Although the system has several advantages, community members have criticized it for mistakenly banning players.
Player accused of cheating by Warzone 2 streamer:

It has pros and cons to allowing gamers to report other players for cheating. In the heat of the moment, when anger rises, a player could accuse another player of cheating when, in fact, it was just a good play.
When participants have two opposing points of view, it doesn’t help. Kill cams should display if you have been detected, a WZ2 player requested the developers to include it. I recently received a bulk report because I accidentally shot a Twitch streamer via a smoke after seeing him, and he believed I was cheating.
The accused gamer used a smoke grenade to hide their location as they obtained their loadout. To get a quick kill, the streamer parachute in. But the other player killed the streamer by using a live ping to identify an opponent through the fog.
The streamer received criticism from the online community for falsely accusing the other player of cheating. Before sending out spam reports, the streamer should accept or at least observe their deaths.
Others in the game confirmed, with another noting that the “enemy marked on the kill cam” was true. Use this illustration to teach yourself to always inspect your work before accusing someone of cheating.
The gameplay of Warzone 2 underwent various adjustments from the developers, and the player base took some time to adjust. To master every game mechanic and attempt to reach new milestones, true fans grind for several hours. But it’s less fun now because of all the cheaters.
