The battle royale has introduced a new feature to its impressive array of events recently. As Season 2 makes its debut with the addition of Ashika Island and the Resurgence mode returns, we also get a new event. It’s called Data Heist, and it’s dazzling players all around the world. The public event is endemic to Ashika Island and will take place in every match. We take a look at all the characteristics and features regarding the Data Heist. After all, a Warzone event is cause for much speculation and excitement. Here it from us here.
Hacking for Rewards

Straight up, the event will start during the second circle collapse in every match and provide the players with three uplink stations around the map. The mission takes a drastic turn from here. Players will have to make their way as fast as possible to one of these stations and download the intel buried deep within the device. But if you think this is going to be an easy task, you’re wrong. Resistance can and will definitely arrive. Choose your weapons and positions wisely, for enemies will arrive. The Shadow Company isn’t letting go of intel that easy.
Furthermore, you do have some options of compensating for this resistance. If you manage to kill the soldiers, the rate of download will increase by several notches. Now that is a sure shot upgrade. But do take note of one important fact. The download can be interrupted if the enemies get too close for comfort to the machine. It can also be stopped if they use the DDoS Field Upgrade. However as the saying goes, no pain no gain. So yes, successfully completing a Data Heist event will yield certain rewards to make up for your time.
More Risk, More Rewards

If you manage to crack a Data Heist event with panache, rich rewards are waiting for you in the form of cash and XP. Consider yourself the daring type? Do not be content with just one uplink station. Go forth and raid the others as well to increase your rate of rewards. Data Heist is the gift that keeps giving if you have that pluck. Want to know what awaits you for completing they event successfully? Advanced UAVs. Cash. Killstreaks. Tactical Equipment. XP.
But we leave the choice entirely up to you. There is an inordinate amount of items to be had, but the pressure might just be too much for you to handle. Decide with your team whether you want to pursue the Data Heist event or not. Team makes the final decision, after all.
