Chainsaw Man traces the story of Denji, a destitute young man who makes a contract. The contract manifests itself as the fusion of his body with that of a dog-like devil named Pochita. It happens to be a government agency that dedicates itself to fighting against devils whenever they become a threat to Japan.
The second arc of the story revolves around Asa Mitaka, a high school student. Mitaka signs a contract with Yoru the War Devil. Indeed, Yoru compels her to hunt down Chainsaw Man in order to restore the devils stolen from her. This Japanese manga series has earned universal acclaim. It has received the appreciation of the critics who have acclaimed its storytelling, characters, and dark humour.
Chainsaw Man: Setting
The story exploits the archetypal theme. It is from a world where Devils are born from human fears. This is a primal literary motif. Devils are mostly dangerous and malevolent. Their power is equivalent to the fear they incite. However, humans can form contracts with them to tap the full potential of their power. In fact, there are individuals who possess special skills to hunt and employ them. These individuals are Devil Hunters. Devils emerge from Hell, and exist in a cycle between Earth and Hell. Indeed, when these devils are killed in Hell they migrate to Earth. In fact, extremely powerful devils dwell in Hell. Such devils are Primal Fears. They are immune to annihilation. Indeed, the Hell Devil oversees the transit between planes.
In fact, it is possible that a Devil inhabits the body of a dead human. In such a situation, the devil receives fragments of the memory and personality of the dead human. Now such a creature comes across as a Fiend. Devils who naturally have a humanoid form are likely to be benevolent to humans.

Plot
Post a betrayal, a young man left for the dead is reborn as a potential devil-human hybrid after merging with his pet devil. When his father died, Denji found himself suffering from a huge debt. Indeed, he lacked all the ways to pay it back. However, he once saved a Devil dog named Pochita. Thus, he is able to survive through challenging jobs and killing Devils for the Yakuza. Indeed, Pochita’s chainsaw powers proved handy against these strong demons. When the Yakuza deceives him and the Zombie Devil kills him, Pochita sacrifices himself to salvage his former master. Thus, Denji resurrects as some kind of weird Devil-Human hybrid. Therefore, we see Denji’s journey from a destitute to the Chainsaw Man.
