Barbie Forteza made a return appearance on “It’s Showtime,” this time in the role of a judge for the noontime show’s “Magpasikat” segment. This special portion of the show, which took place on a Tuesday, featured a heartwarming performance by Team Karylle, Amy Perez, Lassy, and MC.
During their “Magpasikat” entry, Barbie enthusiastically joined the audience in enjoying Team KALM’s presentation. However, she had no inkling that a delightful surprise awaited her. Following the performance, the group unveiled that the mysterious voice behind the special character in their act belonged to none other than David Licauco, known as the “Pambansang Ginoo,” or the National Gentleman. This revelation added an extra layer of excitement to the moment.
Baby Argus, another member of Team KALM and a fellow chinito cutie, expressed his delight in seeing his “best friend,” David Licauco, during the performance. Barbie was equally taken aback by the surprise, creating a unique and unforgettable moment. Vice Ganda, one of the show’s hosts, playfully noted that it was a first in “Showtime” history to have a guest who ended up as a judge.
Barbie had previously graced the show during its GTV debut, where she shared the stage with Kim Chiu, and her return added a spark of excitement to the show.
Moreover, David Licauco and Baby Argus had previously shared a special bonding day in September, showcasing their strong camaraderie. The two also posed for photos together, and their close relationship led netizens to comment on how they resembled a father-and-son duo.
“It’s Showtime” has a tradition of “Magpasikat,” where the show’s hosts divide into groups and prepare unique and creative presentations. In a recent episode, the team of Vhong Navarro, Teddy Corpuz, and Jugs Jugueta used artificial intelligence (AI) to bring back beloved comedians Doplhy, Babalu, and Redford White on screen, adding a nostalgic and entertaining touch to the show’s rich tradition.
