The Los Angeles Police have arrested Eric Weinberg, the television producer and writer. The police took this step after certain prosecutors filed 18 sexual abuse and assault charges against him. On the basis of these charges, the police took the former executive producer of Scrubs into custody. Eight women have brought charges of sexual abuse and assault against him. These alleged instances of sexual abuse and assault happened between 2012 and 2019. The Charges And The Arrest

There are charges of sexual battery, oral copulation, rape, assault and false imprisonment against Eric. In addition, the district attorney of Los Angeles County has filed charges of six forcible penetrations with foreign objects and assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury against the famed writer. On basis of these charges, the police now hold him in custody against a $5 million bail.
It is stated in the allegations that women in their 20s and 30s were the prime targets of Eric. He used to meet them at shops, supermarkets and coffee shops near his house. Then he used to invite them to his house for photoshoots and then abused them. Earlier on the 14th of July, the investigators arrested him over numerous charges of sexual assault. However, he got released from custody within 3 days, against a bail of $3.2 million.
However, the investigating detectives also claim that there could be more victims. They opined that these victims might date back to the 1990s. In July, the LAPD had already investigated him twice. But then there was a lack of evidence and therefore she got released.
