- Sharp scissors
- Gift boxes
- Wrapping paper
- Ribbon
What Kind of Wrapping Paper Should You Use?

Finding thicker wrapping paper is something we advise. When you pull the paper taut, a more durable paper is less likely to tear and produce sharp corners that hold a crease.
What Kind of Tape Should You Use?
Less is more when it comes to wrapping a gift with tape. While ensuring your gift wrap is secure, you want to use as minimal tape as possible.
Gift wrap and double-sided tape are my two preferred types of gift wrapping.
Gift Wrap Tape features a crystal clear finish that makes it less noticeable on your package and ensures that once applied, there won’t be any bubbles or white film like there would be with conventional tape.
With double-sided tape, you may conceal your tape behind your wrapping paper, giving the gift a truly elegant appearance.
How to Wrap A Box

Step 1:
Place the gift in a box: Gifts like clothing, shoes, books, wooden spoons, and forks should be placed in a rectangular or square box. You can purchase gift boxes in the same department store section where you purchase wrapping paper, or you can utilize an unwanted box like a shoebox or an old carton box lying around your house.
Step 2:
The box should be sealed at the top with tape or a sticker: Seal the box’s top with tape to keep it close.
Step 3:
To cut the kraft paper, unroll it: The wrapping paper should be spread out on the table. To create a cut, measure the required amount of paper, which should be about twice the length of the box and wide enough to cover both sides.
Adjust the gift box, so it is centered on the paper, and place it face down on top of the gift wrapping. The paper should cover the entire box, from left to right. The paper should extend halfway up the box’s sides from top to bottom.
Step 4:
Just a little more than halfway up the side of the box, fold the kraft paper’s top edge up.
Step5:
Fold the first set of triangles inside and keep them inside the box: Two triangles will be formed by pushing the sides inside; keep one triangle once it has been folded across.

Step 6:
Repeat on the other side, tucking the second set of triangles within as you go.
Step 7:
Make the rest as mentioned above. Repeat on the opposite side as well.
Step 8:
Return the rest to the inside by centre-folding it.
Step 9:
After folding, fix the paper: Stickers should be taped to keep the paper form. Use adhesive if you don’t have a label to keep the paper in place. Be at ease.
Step 10:
Completing the box’s bottom: Place the two ends and press them against the box’s edges. The bottom flap should be folded up and sharply creased before being taped.

Step 11:
Close any uncovered ends and fold in:
- Create four flaps with a 45-degree angle by pushing the paper’s sides inward.
- Crease the flaps.
- Close the top flap.
- Make a sharp cut along the box’s top, then another where the paper meets the bottom edge.
The bottom flap should be covered in double-sided tape before being folded over and affixed.
