In fact, a part of this buff about this new dragon boasts about a powerful zombie-making soul, against whom the players are facing difficulties to play. It is mainly because of its camouflage. Did you know Riot had initially shipped nerfs in the previous season due to several complaints from different players?
In fact, these complaints weren’t silent even after heading into League of Legends Patch 12.1. There was also no mention of Chemtech Dragon or Chemtech Rift in the patch notes. This made the players worried to a certain extent. However, we come to know that Riot slipped in a secret change to make it easier for teams playing from behind.
How Did the Developers Manage the Situation?
By now, you must have understood what exactly the problem is about. After seeing the players’ inconvenience, the developers have finally stepped in. They have added some more Scryer’s Bloom plants at appropriate places under Inner Towers. This was done so that the players could scout into the jungle without stepping into the fog.
In fact, the lead designer Matt told the players on 5th January that the change would help “losing teams contest their jungle.” You can have a look at below mentioned tweet to see his comments.
Re: Chemtech. The map state is intended to enable aggressive plays for both teams and the design intent isn't to be winning team skewed, even if it's currently perceived to be. 12.1 Scryers are to help the losing team contest their jungle and we'll continue to monitor further

As per Chemtech Rift, he says that it is intended to enable aggressive plays for both teams. At the same time, the design intent is not to facilitate any groups in winning the games. They have to defeat their opponent even if it is a tough fight and win the game.
The players have received this change sportingly. However, if it curbs the powers of the new dragon Chemtech Rift or not, we are yet to find out. However, regardless of that fact, this dragon will continue to be trending on social media platforms. At the same time, it will pose a challenge for the players.
Ending Note
By now, you must have figured out that League of Legends is indeed a very popular game currently. In fact, when the new season is coming up with such a challenging opponent, things will be exciting for the fans. So if you are yet to try the game, go ahead and play it once.
