Players of Apex Legends request that Respawn’s designers use Push mode from Overwatch 2 as inspiration for a new LTM.
Fans of Apex Legends have long pined for the release of new Limited Time Modes (LTMs). Players have offered the programmers many ideas they believe would make the game better, and Respawn has used LTMs in the past to test new features before introducing them to the main battle royale mode.
The crowd still wants more, and one fan has suggested that the developers use Overwatch 2 for the upcoming LTM, despite Season 16 offering a rotation of Team Deathmatch, Control, and Gun Run.
Apex Legends Supporter wants The Developers to Recreate The Overwatch 2 “Push” Mode
Apex player “wing6781” recommended in a March 17 Reddit thread that the developers create an LTM similar to Overwatch’s “Push” mode. “How about an LTM that exists like the ‘Push’ mode from Overwatch 2, but with an Apex twist? They stated that we defend a “Big Nessie” instead of pushing a robot.
“Fun and umor would be the mode. According to one user, the mode would probably be a “hold W simulator,” but it would be entertaining if Respawn’s developers can figure out a way to ensure that is not the case. Hopefully, Wattson will have unique dialogue or interactions with Nessie and her staff in this mode.
One person asserted that “Push is amazing and I guess it would be an ideal instance of adding to the Apex mixtape. On current maps, though, it wouldn’t function very well. It sounds like fun if Apex can make that not the case.
They noted that they “Would love to watch what they could cite for new maps- some of the OG Titanfall maps and designs with the great, titan-size lanes and smaller corridors for infantry felt so amazing to move through.
Meanwhile, others weren’t on board with the concept; many named Push one of the most disliked Overwatch game modes. We may see some new LTMs around early to mid-May when Season 17 is scheduled to premiere.
