The former Fugees member finally opened up about the reason behind his hospitalisation on Tuesday. He talked to TMZ and said that he ‘felt numbness on the right side of his face’ after returning from Miami to LA last weekend. He then immediately contacted his family doctor Dr Waleed Lashin.
The doctor asked him to get himself checked at the emergency room. They prescribed him some tests, which required him to stay at the hospital overnight. Also Jean revealed that the face numbness was probably due to exhaustion and stress. However, he is now back home and is on his way to recovery. The musician will also undergo some additional tests next week.

On March 5, Jean announced that he would be launching a lightweight luxury electric car. That would be worth $350k in the market in 2024. He joined hands with Apex Motors to manufacture the two-passenger sports car Attucks Apex AP0.
“As the Son of immigrants, my parents always told me to dream big !!!! So I combined my two passions and experiences with cars and music and created my dream vision! I’m launching my electric supercar tomorrow at @ameliaconcoursofficial with @apexmotors.global @attucksfuture @supercarrooms,” he wrote on Instagram, announcing the project.
However, shifting focus to the automobile industry does not mean that Jean would be stepping away from music. Pepz saw him recently in a studio with Lil Wayne. He was hinting that he might be appearing on the rapper’s next album, The Carter 6. The two have previously worked together on the 2007 hit Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill).
