Samsung’s service of ‘SmartThings Find’ has got officially launched. It will be available in the SmartThings app that will assist the users to link with Galaxy devices. You can find the lost phones using this amazing app. The service can work on all Galaxy phones and tablets powered by Android 8 and more. Moreover, it can also help track Samsung gadgets like smartwatches, buds live and Buds Plus. It has already started working in many places.

The features in ‘SmartThings Find’
The app will come with features like AR-based Search Nearby that helps to guide the user to the lost device. It will work in a real-time location. It functions with the help of Ultra-wideband (UWB) and the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This will help in finding the lost or stolen galaxy devices easily. The ultra-wideband feature is at the moment available in Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Note20 series. It is more effective than Bluetooth as it functions at a higher frequency.
There is also a feature in the ‘SmartThings Find’ where other Galaxy users can track the device you have lost. It can work even on offline for thirty minutes period. It can create a BLE signal that will track Galaxy devices nearby.
Jaeyeon Jung vice president and the head of the app team stated that the technology of BLE and UWB will make the users life less tense and stressful. You can either choose ring option for the device to ring when you are near it or AR feature which contains colour graphics that heighten in intensity when you near the lost device.
