The upcoming Apple TV comedy sees former best friends Will (Rogen) and Sylvia (Byrne) at the precipice of their midlife. Following Will’s divorce, the pair reconnect after a years-long drift. Their rediscovered friendship becomes increasingly consuming, destabilising both their lives.
For Sylvia, a married mother of three, the friendship brings out her wild side. It leads her husband (Bros’ Luke Macfarlane) to tell her in the trailer: “I don’t like feeling like the second most important man in your life.”
In the trailer, Byrne and Rogan’s characters are up to no good as they snort tranquilliser sizers in a public bathroom. Also, scream at each other about wanting only happiness for the other. So, after which Rogen walks out of the scene and straight through a glass door, slicing his forehead open. The duo seems to cause chaos everywhere they go.
‘Platonic’: Trailer of Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne’s Apple TV comedy series out

Apple tv unveiled the trailer of the upcoming 10-episode comedy series Platonic. Starring and executive produced by Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen. However, the series is co-created, directed, and co-written by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco.
It follows a platonic pair of former best friends approaching midlife (Rogen and Byrne) who reconnect after a long rift. The duo’s friendship becomes all-consuming and hilariously decade stabiliser lives. In addition to Rogen and Byrne, the ensemble cast includes Luke Macfarlane, Tre Hale, Andrew Lopez and Carla Gallo.
Sony Pictures Television produced the platonic. Where Stoller’s Global Solutions has an overall deal. Byrne, Rogen, Stoller, Delbanco and Conor Welch executive produce. The half-hour comedy makes its global debut with the first three episodes on May 24, 2023, on Apple TV, It has new episodes weekly, every Wednesday.
The series marks the latest collaboration between Apple TV and Byrne. Also stars in the critically hailed Apple Original series Physical. It is ready to debut its third season later this year.

Although short, this synopsis seems like the perfect setting for Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen to show off their comedic talents. So, all whilst becoming more mature in their themes and character style. When Is Platonic Set to Be Released?
After they announced back in October 2020, the gradual wait for the release of Platonic was a journey well-worn by fans. The series will come on May 24, 2023. In other great news. So, they announced that the first three episodes would be made available on that day. Although fans shouldn’t get too comfortable seeing so many stories at once. Also, with the rest of the episodes in the 10-episode series releasing every week until July 12, 2023. That means fans are finally on the home stretch after waiting so long for the show.
