The next instalment of Scream, one of the most popular slasher film series, has finally hit theatres. Scream VI is a continuation of the events of Scream (2022). Also, it depicts the protagonists’ journey to New York City to avoid the serial killer known as Ghostface.
New York City serves as the backdrop for the first time instead of the made-up town of Woodsboro.
Locations in Scream 6 Filming
The majority of Scream VI’s $35 million budget was spent filming in Québec, Canada. Although New York City plays a major role in the story, the city was not used for filming or production. New York City was filmed in various locations throughout Montreal. Production kicked off in June 2022 and wrapped up in August of that year. Shooting locations for Scream VI included:

5704 Sherbrooke Street West is now home to The Flower Pot, formerly Jill’s Flower Shop; 5707 Sherbrooke Street West is the site of Lili’s Sweet, formerly Sandrini Confections.
Rue Sherbrooke O became 4th Street, while Avenue Wilson became 44th Street in New York City. Abe’s Snake Bodega, Hank’s Steady Hands, and End of the Story are all examples of businesses in the area. Filming at McGill University
Scenes that took place at the made-up Blackmore University in New York. They really filmed at McGill University, which can be found at 845 Sherbrooke Street West in Montreal. The Burnside Building on campus now serves as a transit centre for the city.
In addition to being Quebec’s largest city, Montreal is the second most populous in all of Canada. The International Civil Aviation Organization has its headquarters there. The city itself serves as a major hub for a wide variety of industries, including trade, art, culture, business, tourism, and film.
Before Scream VI, Montreal served as the filming location for a number of critically acclaimed movies. They were like John Wick: Chapter 2, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. They also included The Notebook, Orphan, Catch Me If You Can, The Day After Tomorrow, Batman & Robin, X-Men: Days of Future Past, White House Down, and Life of Pi.

In the first ten minutes, the film’s (narrative driver-action) begins. A young and gorgeous high school student who is still grieving the rape and murder of her mother exactly a year previous. However, Gale has returned to town to cover the latest murder after writing a tell-all about the trial of Maureen Prescott’s murderer.
