Since its much-awaited release, Destiny 2: Lightfall has received a mixed reception from fans, and now bad reviews are starting to impact the entire Destiny 2 on Steam and lowest rated steam is Destiny 2. The sequel to 2022’s Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, Lightfall, was a long time in development. It was expected to clarify several important concerns that players had been thinking over, including “Who is the Traveller?” and “What is the Veil?”
Unfortunately, as we covered in great detail in our article on Lightfall, the DLC only does something to answer a few of these questions. Many questions still need to be answered about several crucial plot points, leaving fans to regret some aspects of Lightfall, such as Strand’s serious defect and the ridiculous boss problems.
Players are expressing their opinions on the game’s official Steam page since the release of Destiny 2: Lightfall undoubtedly has not met the high expectations set by The Witch Queen.
The Destiny 2 expansion DLC Lightfall has the lowest rating on Steam:

Based on 3,000 reviews as of March 3, 2023, Destiny 2: Lightfall has a terrible 29% rating on Steam, labeled “Mostly Bad.” Based on 2,000 reviews, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen has a very respectable 79% ‘Mostly Good’ rating, which is impressive.
Bungie faces a massive challenge in improving the game’s perception and rating. Compared to Beyond Light’s 50% rating, Lightfall is the lowest-rated DLC on Steam.
Because of the direct contrast between the two, it is generally accepted that The Witch Queen contributed more to the development of the plot and introduced features that made Destiny 2 feel more coherent overall.
Amazingly, the anticipation for the Update led to Lightfall, causing Destiny 2 to exceed its all-time concurrent player count when it went live. On February 28, 2023, 316,750 players were playing Destiny 2 constantly, according to Steam Charts.
However, the poor quality of Lightfall has resulted in a significant drop-off within a short period, with the concurrent player count falling as low as 114,930. As we approach the final Destiny 2 expansion, The Final Form, Bungie has time to correct the perceived errors of Lightfall with the upcoming Root of Nightmares Raid.
