The players on the opposite team try to guess the celebrity based on the clues. So, what are the rules of the game? Let’s find out about it.
Rules of The Game
Again, the Celebrity game is very simple; it doesn’t include many rules. It consists of two or three simple rules that are easy to follow and remember. The first rule of the game is that it is related to only celebrities. Further, the second rule of the game is that it is played by at least four or more people. Finally, the last rule of the game is guess should be made within the time limit. Any guess made after the time limit will not be considered.
Setting-Up The Game
To begin the game, you need to make groups. Divide the number of people present into two equal groups. Then, ask each member of both groups to write five celebrity names on a separate piece of paper. Fold the paper containing celebrity names and place them in a bowl. Suppose the group is big; then reduce the number of celebrities from five to three.
Next, collect and set a timer. Make sure the timer is working properly and ask one person to take care of it. A digital clock, stop-clock, or phone timer will work. Finally, choose which team goes first. You can choose the team by playing rock-paper-scissor. Apart from this, you can also decide who goes first by age or a coin toss.
Playing The Game
Once you decide which team goes first, ask one player from that team to come forward. Next, make sure you mix the names of the celebrities in the bowl well. Then, the player who came forward asked them to pick one piece of paper from the bowl. The player who chooses the paper is called a clue-giver. His job is to read the paper that contains the celebrity’s name and understand it.
Here you need to remember one important rule, only the clue-giver can see the paper containing the celebrity’s name. He is not allowed to show it to anyone. Ask the clue-giver if he is ready, and then start the timer. Set the time to 60 or 90 seconds. The clue-giver must provide clues about the celebrity on the paper to his team. They can provide clues to the celebrity by saying whatever they want. However, they should not reveal the celebrity’s name or nickname. Based on the clues provided, the other team members guessed the celebrity.
If the team members guess the celebrity correctly, then the clue-giver can choose one more paper from the bowl. This can continue until the time runs out. Allow the team and its member to guess any number of celebrities within the given time. Make a note of the number of celebrities the team correctly guessed. Once the time runs out, the second team gets a chance to play the game. The rules and the gameplay for the second team are the same as the first team. This is the first round of the game. Make sure round one is played until all players are given a chance to become clue-givers.
The second round of the game starts with the first-round completing. This round is a little tough than the previous round. Here the clue-giver can only give one word to describe the celebrity. Finally, you need to play round three of the game, where the clue-givers act out the celebrity.
