During a recent interview with Dax Shepard on his podcast Armchair Expert. Ferreira finally addressed the questions — and the rumours — that have been swirling around her departure for the past year. Namely, suggesting Ferreira’s exit had a lot to do with her alleged tension with the show’s creator, Sam Levinson.

“I think there were places she could have gone. So, I just don’t think it would have fit into the show,” she said.
“I wanted to be able to not be the fat best friend. I don’t want to play that, and I think they didn’t want that either. Also, I would have played her for as long as I was asked to.”
