There are very few people in today’s world who do not love playing games. By playing action games like Warzone, people escape into the fantasy world, which gives them freedom from monotonous life. Therefore, when we talk about these games, there are many people who are crazy about them.
However, pretty recently, the Warzone developers at Raven Software have doubled down on a commitment to nerfing ADS speed across the board. Even though the players are repeatedly protesting against it, the developers are showing no signs of withdrawal from their recent decision. This has led to the current rift between the players and devs. So today, we will be discussing some of the relevant issues on this matter. Stay with us till the end if you want to know more about it.
What is Raven Software’s Recent Announcement?
Since you are reading this blog, you must be one of the ardent fans of Warzone, right? Well, you are at the right place as we will be discussing some of the significant aspects of the present issue with the Warzone game in this blog.
Well, it was three days ago that Raven Software announced their plans to increase Warzone’s Time To Kill (TTK). So do you know what this signifies? This means that weapon damage nerfs or health increases are rolled out. Instead, in this entire time, the developers detailed new ADS changes. So instead of tweaking the apparent stats, Raven aims to “decrease base ADS speeds” across every weapon category. Therefore, the idea of lowering down the speed to aim your weapon has quickly met with severe backlash on social media platforms.
What is the Players’ Reaction on This?
So by now, you must have well understood that the present change of decrease in base ADS speeds has indeed upset the fans. In fact, they have expressed their dissatisfaction regarding this issue. Moreover, many of them had also labeled the decision the “stupidest idea.” At the same time, many of the players have also called it a “step backward” on the devs’ part.
So you can guess that there is a rift growing between the two communities. This rash decision on the part of the devs has made the fans worried about its effect on the game. You can have a look at the fans’ comments on the post of the devs here
We feel that MW and BOCW Weapons are in a fairly good spot. Similar to the BOCW integration, VG Weapons will need time to receive the adjustments necessary to nicely slot into the Warzone ecosystem.

How will This Change have an Effect on The Game?
Many of our readers are very concerned after the devs made the change official on social media platforms. Needless to say, almost every weapon set is to be affected by this blanket change. However, Raven has also clarified how the change will affect the game.
According to them, they are trying to increase the average by about 20 ms. Some of the weapons might escape this fate by default. Also, the attachments are in line with ADS adjustments to cover more ground. Let us explain it with the help of an example. Suppose your favorite rifle remains unscathed; there is a good chance that its best attachments may soon lower its ADS potential.
However, in most cases, the players will be taking that ADS speed and leveraging it in attachments. This would help them create more exciting builds and meaningful choices. Therefore, having a rapid ADS loadout might soon take away from damage, accuracy, and other major stats. Do you know why this happened? As per Raven Software’s comments, this change comes as a result of ‘blurred lines’ between weapon categories. For instance, the players might have many options as top-tier SMG-style loadouts.
When Might the Devs Implement the Changes in The Game?
Needless to say, it is pretty unhealthy for the game in the long run. This is because it can result in power creep and limit the design space for new weapons. You can look at the post by Raven Software if you want to understand the situation well enough
Primarily, we are concerned that some Weapons are functionally blurring the lines between SMG, AR, and LMG. This is unhealthy for the game in the long term not just because it can result in ‘power creep’ but also because it limits our design space for new Weapons.

However, there is no telling as to how soon the devs will implement these ADS changes in Warzone. It might be possible that the devs include it into this week’s Season 1 Reloaded Patch. It might also be possible that they might still be a long time away.
Ending Note
So by now, you must have understood that there is a rift between Raven Software of the Warzone games and the gaming community. This is because these changes will have a significant effect on the game. Therefore, we need to wait patiently for the devs to make any further official comments on the changes.
