What Is Causing Your Xbox One Controller to Blink, and What Can You Do About It?

Many things can cause an Xbox controller to flash, but only a few are primary. The controller has lost contact with the Xbox. Normal operation is resumed after reconnecting the controller, and the blinking ceases.

The batteries have run out of power. Because the controller includes a rechargeable battery, all you need to do to charge it is connect it to an outlet. If the blinking remains after contacting Microsoft, the controller will need to be repaired.

There is an issue with the Xbox controller’s battery, charging system, or wireless connection.

There could be several causes for this problem, so it’s critical to try out all of the potential solutions to find the one that works best for you. Step one is to ensure that your remote is within range.

However, if you are unable to pair your Xbox One controller, you may notice blinking or flashing lights. The controller may have previously been associated with another system, the controller may be too far away from the console, or the console may be attached to more than eight controllers.

Suppose your gaming setup has walls, faces away from you, is enclosed in a cabinet, or is vulnerable to interference from other adjacent wireless devices. In that case, you should limit the wireless range of your Xbox controllers to 19 to 28 feet.

Examine the battery life of the controller

If you see any blinking or flashing, the batteries on your Xbox One controller may be dying. However, if the controller’s batteries are low, the signal quality will degrade. To replace the old batteries, only AA alkaline batteries labelled LR6 should be used. There is a charging option, however, it is not available when they are in the controller. You must bill them in accordance with the recommendations supplied.
